      QRC1 — Breakout Scoring Engine

Most breakout EAs fire on every trendline pierce. QRC1 doesn’t. Before placing a single order, it calculates a structured quality score for the breakout  and only commits capital when the market earns it.

The Breakout Scoring System

Every new bar, QRC1 scans the recent pivot structure, fits linear regression trendlines through the most significant pivot highs and lows, detects a break, and immediately scores its quality across five factors:

Trendline Age	2.5 pts	Older, more respected trendlines score higher — a break of a 50-bar structure is worth more than one from 5 bars ago
Volume Confirmation	2.5 pts	Volume spike relative to the moving average proportional scoring up to the cap
Slope Steepness	2.0 pts	ATR-normalised trendline slope steeper, more decisive trendlines score higher
Displacement	2.0 pts	How convincingly price pierced through the level, relative to ATR
Retest Detection	1.0 pt	Bonus point if price returned to test the broken level before the current bar

Maximum possible score: 10.0. Only breakouts reaching the configurable minimum score threshold (default 5.0) trigger an entry. The full score breakdown is visible in real time on the HUD  you can see exactly why the EA did or didn’t trade.

Trade Execution & Management

Entry sizing is equity-based, risking a defined percentage per trade. Stop loss distance is set as a multiple of ATR, adapting automatically to current volatility conditions.

Once in a trade, a structured exit ladder manages the position:

• Partial Close at 1:1 R:R, locking in a portion of the position
• Breakeven Migration  stop moves to entry after the partial close executes
• Score-Driven Scale Engine  if a position is running and the breakout score on the current bar remains above the scale threshold, a second position is added at reduced risk. If the position then draws back beyond the descale trigger, the Scale Engine automatically reduces exposure by the configured percentage

Three-Layer Risk Management

Daily Loss Limit	Stops trading once the day’s realised loss reaches the configured % of balance
Max Drawdown Halt	Hard full stop if cumulative peak-to-trough drawdown breaches the ceiling

All three layers auto-reset on a new trading day (configurable) and display colour-coded status on the live HUD  green to amber to red as thresholds approach.

Live HUD Dashboard

The chart dashboard shows account balance, equity, floating P&L, current breakout score with a visual bar (colour-coded by score tier), score breakdown by factor, breakout direction, trade status, scale count, and all three risk layers with real-time percentage readings. Trendlines and breakout zones are also drawn directly on the chart.
